koryu Posted August 30, 2006 Posted August 30, 2006 depending on my mood and the judges, i either compete with suparinpei or sanseiru. suparinpei is a very good kata, but sometimes judges get bored with it. i always try to run a kata that other people haven't performed before me that day. alsey Posted August 30, 2006 Posted August 30, 2006 lol, in the last two posts i misread 'suparinpei' as 'super enpi' "Gently return to the simple physical sensation of the breath. Then do it again, and again, and again. Somewhere in this process, you will come face-to-face with the sudden and shocking realization that you are completely crazy. Your mind is a shrieking, gibbering madhouse on wheels." - ven. henepola gunaratana
Jiffy Posted August 31, 2006 Posted August 31, 2006 HAHAHA The mind is like a parachute, it only works when it's open.
Zorbasan Posted August 31, 2006 Posted August 31, 2006 lol, in the last two posts i misread 'suparinpei' as 'super enpi' hahahathat would be like the rocks "peoples empi" Now you use head for something other than target.
Akaratechick Posted August 31, 2006 Posted August 31, 2006 I would have to say Chung Goon (sp) or Yul Gok , I love the front snap kicks and the pressing blocks in both. Both katas flow really well. "All your life you are told the things you cannot do. They will say you're not good enough, strong enough or talented enough; you're the wrong height or the wrong weight or the wrong type to play this or achieve this. THEY WILL TELL YOU NO, a thousand times no, until all the no's become meaningless. ………..…. “AND YOU WILL TELL THEM YES."Nike Ad.

Jiffy Posted August 31, 2006 Posted August 31, 2006 I find it interesting that some of these names mean absoloutly nothing to me (the TKD ones mainly) and others are "plain English" whereas other people would be the exact opposite. The mind is like a parachute, it only works when it's open.
