Did you know that Masutatsu Oyama was not his given name? He was born in South Korea and his name was Choi Bae-dal.

Ok, here's one.

Did you know that Fencing is one of the only four sports that has been present in all of the modern day Olympics? I don't know the other three though.

14 events held at every modern day Olympic games: 100-, 400-, 800-, and 1500-meter races, the marathon, 110 m. hurdles, high jump, pole vault, long jump, triple jump, shot put, discus, 1500 m. freestyle swimming, and individual saber.

I had heard that he was born in Korea. I would not have recognized the name, though.

Did you know that Shoto was Funakoshi's pen name? Shotokan means "Shoto's House".

I thought that Shotokan meant 'house of pine waves.' :-?

Hmm. That is odd. I just read that yesterday and I thought it was interesting so I posted. Turns out, my book a different interpretation. Bah!
