I know its my choice on what martial arts styles I pick but researched this style called Southern Praying Mantis I wanna learn this but I wanna if it would be a good style to learn? :karate:

depends on what exactly you want to learn. different martial artists like different martial arts. for example, if you want to learn ground fighting, mantis probably isn't the way to go.

as far as i know, southern mantis is quite a combative style. and that's about all i know.

Do some looking, checking into various schools. Check out the instructors as well, asking questions about how they teach and things like that. It may be a style you want to learn, just make sure you want to learn from that instructor.

What is good for one may not be the best for you. I agree with bushido_man96 and find an instructor that you would like to learn from and that you feel comfortable with

Instructor, environment, and training regiement aside (since you haven't told us about them), I've always loved animal styles, especially southern animal styles. You may find that some techniques are a little impractical, or too tradition rooted, but they're fun and effective anyway.

Just started taking Kempo and after talking to others they told me to train in different styles gain the most from it.

That is good advise, but you may want to spend some time in one art to get a good base foundation, and then move on.

i dont know much about this one, any websites on it?
