One of our previous schools used to be sponsored.

You need to be offer your sponsors something for their money, in most cases, exposure. If your school does well in competitions and can put a banner up then you have a chance. If not, but you have a big school, then maybe you could release a newsletter with the sponsors in them, then you might have a chance.

Other than that, it's very hard to find sponsors.

The mind is like a parachute, it only works when it's open.

When I was in judo, we used to get donation/sponsership for our tournaments. All the students went out fundraising to help put on the event. The buisness would get a T-shirt with all the sponser's names on it, would get advertising in the program and/or in the form of banners in the building. We made it a competition to see which student could pull in the most sponsers.
