parkerlineage
I like that idea, Rateh. I certainly don't want a jerk who is physically violent as a black belt under me. jaymac
Or have other people write essays about them. Say one peer, and one black belt have to write an essay stating why the student should get their black belt, or not. Also get signed notes from parents and teachers, so that you know they are showing good charactor both inside AND outside of the dojo.Just an idea I had, I've yet to try it out.We are actually required to do this, only we have several essay questions we have to answer in regards to our rank and our deserving of the rank. A great martial artist is one who is humble and respectful of others.

Sensei Rick
no sarcasm intended at all, but i have been training MA for about 14 years now, and i have a BB in TKD and i would be struggling to know 54 different kicks.unless you count each leg as a different kick, then different directions from the same stance a different kick. could you post (or pm me) the 54 kicks, strikes and blocks that should be knownwell i don't have too much time, and posting my cirriculum would only make all the other instructors steal it so how bout a list of kicksfront knee, snap, thrustcrescent, reverse cresent, RH knee (round house knee)RH kick, side (front leg) ,jump snap=3 variations, back, axe, stomping.draw back RH, Turning RH, step behind side, step behind RH, turning back, jump RH=3 variationsTurning side, low/hi RH, double step RH, dragon kick, side snap, checking.Turning rev. crescent, jump turn side, switch jump front, switch RH, hook, reverse RHFront sweeps.. , butterfly, turning hook, turning wheel, flying side, jump turning RHjump turning wheel, scissors kick, JUMP turning rev. crescent, jump turning back, twin snap, double flying side kick.(u end up kicking with both legs)sliding with front, RH, front thrust, back, side, turning back, and axe.Wushu buterfly, bfly with twist.I think thats all but I am doing this from memory and don't have my cirriculum in front of me. that's kinda the order there taught. I teach some others like 540s and stuff, but you get the idea. if ya really want blocks and strikes let me know. or maybe later if i have time. place clever martial arts phrase here
Sensei Rick
funny, I must have been writing while parkerliniage wrote. but I don't count left and right as different kick. In jumping kick it depends on which foot you take off with and land on for the 3 variations. let me know if ya need more info. good work parkerliniage! place clever martial arts phrase here
bushido_man96
I don't really count front or back leg as a different kick. I just count the basic kick, the spin version, the reverse version, jump, jump spin, jump reverse, etc.Just differences in cataloging, really. https://www.haysgym.comhttp://www.sunyis.com/https://www.aikidoofnorthwestkansas.com
