cathal
Are there any other publications aside from BB Mag? I haven't looked into something like that for years, but it seems to me if they had some reasonable competition perhaps they'd smarten up. .The best victory is when the opponent surrendersof its own accord before there are any actualhostilities...It is best to win without fighting.- Sun-tzu
HG
Peter Rangar had an article in last month Inside Kung-Fu along with his 2 page ad. IKF has also lost a lot of credibility as well , it seems the serious practioners get passed over for the cover article by movie or music stars with a passing interest in martial arts. ps1
Really, most martial arts magazines are going to contain a lot of crud. This is because they just don't have a big enough audience to support their costs. Without a big audience, you don't get the biggest advertisers. Now all that's left is to publish the highest bidder. IMO the best articles aren't the ones advertised on the cover, but are usually the shorter monthly columns. They have been the only reason I buy the magazines for a long time. jaymac
About 6 months ago I had renewed my BB subscription and I wish I hadn't. I am increasingly disappointed with their articles. I wish there were more stories on traditional Martial Arts and Martial Artist. Not to be disrespecful to any UFC fans, because I actually quite enjoy watching UFC, but frankly, I am getting tired of force fed it month after month in the BB magazine. A great martial artist is one who is humble and respectful of others.
cathal
OK so there's a lot of folks who aren't happy with this publication then. Maybe it would be a good idea to send some constructive feedback to them? .The best victory is when the opponent surrendersof its own accord before there are any actualhostilities...It is best to win without fighting.- Sun-tzu
