patusai Posted July 22, 2006 Posted July 22, 2006 Mmmmm, are you speaking of a waza that combines various blocks and punch sequences? For example the one that I learned starts out with a left middle outside block followed by two mid level forward punches and moves to a right high block followed by two mid level forward punches... What you get may very well be the correct technique for another school but your instructor's version may be anywhere from slightly to totally different. Perhaps you can get the information from your instructor or a senior student? "Don't tell me the sky's the limit because I have seen footprints on the moon!" -- Paul Brandt

cathal Posted July 26, 2006 Posted July 26, 2006 Your Sensei ought to be teaching you the kata before you grade!Exactly. Something else to consider would be checking with senior students. .The best victory is when the opponent surrendersof its own accord before there are any actualhostilities...It is best to win without fighting.- Sun-tzu
