G95champ Posted April 27, 2002 Posted April 27, 2002 I know this is made hard by the fact that boxers are boxers and point fighters are point fighters and NHB is NHB. But lets say everything is open. Meaning if a grappler had to box a boxer five times and a boxer hod to grapple five times who would win the most often. In other words say they had to fight in their own fourm and in the other perosons. 1. Frank Shamrock - This kid is IMO the best by far. His only weakness is that he is small. I think Ken could beat him but pound for pound he is the best. Frabj us a great striker, grappler, and he has the most energy I have seen in a NHB fighter. He never stops working. If he can not beat you in round one he will in round 100.... 2. Ricksen Gracie - No one did it better or longer than him. However he will tell you he is not the best Gracie but he is the fist people talk about. 3. Chuck Norris - I have not seen many of his old fights but in point sparring they say none were better. I think he could do more than ok on the ground as well. 4. Roy Jones Jr. - People say he is the greatest pound for pound boxer. I am pretty sure he would get killed on the ground but when he is in shape no one is better whith his hands. Ali included...... 5. Ken Shamrock - As far as talent I don't think he is as good as the 4 above. Nor may he be as good as the next 20. However he is maybe the toughest and smartest fighter out there. Ken would do well in everything but say a open TKD tourey. That don't mean he can't kick I just have never seen him do much of it. These are just some of my favorites. I know they are many many more. SOme I know and some I don't. So lets see what you guys think. (General George S. Patton Jr.) "It's the unconquerable soul of man, and not the nature of the weapon he uses, that ensures victory."
TigerKorea Posted April 27, 2002 Posted April 27, 2002 what is this who are they?? are they your TKD seniors? what fighter?? are there fighters?? what -_-a why would they fight.. for what? do they get money? isn't it hurt if you get hit? i think if you fight you might die isn't it?? are they martial artists? i am a korean boy who will rock korea with my fists may be next 10 years i am already a bruce lee of korea
G95champ Posted April 27, 2002 Author Posted April 27, 2002 I hope you are playing dumb. Those are five of the greatest fighters in the world. I know none of them. They fight because that is their job. I am just trying to put up a nice topic for debate. (General George S. Patton Jr.) "It's the unconquerable soul of man, and not the nature of the weapon he uses, that ensures victory."
three60roundhouse Posted April 27, 2002 Posted April 27, 2002 I'd replace Rickson with Helio, probably...the guy was TINY and was an amazing "pound for pound" guy... 1st dan Tae Kwon DoYellow Belt Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu16 Years OldGirls kick butt!
G95champ Posted April 27, 2002 Author Posted April 27, 2002 Well like I said Rickson has stated he is not the best Gracie refering Helio or Carlos Jr. I listed Rickson becasue he has done it so long and he was really the most public of the family. However I agree that some of the other may be better fighters. (General George S. Patton Jr.) "It's the unconquerable soul of man, and not the nature of the weapon he uses, that ensures victory."
