Retrieving your kukkiwon number

My instructor needs to get a copy of my second dan certificate, which I can not find, for my kukkiwon number. Neither of us have it recorded. Is there a way to retrieve it possibly using my Dan number? (or, am I insane and are these the same things?)

If you contact the Kukkiwon admin via their website, you can retrieve your number if you give your name, date you took your test and place where you took your test.

It took me one year for my dojang to get me my first dan cert, so I had to go via the Kukkiwon to get it myself.

Gotta love governing bodies, don't ya? Nothing but red tape and jumping through hoops to get things done. Oh, and the waiting....

Not to mention the politics involved.
