CheekyMusician Posted July 14, 2006 Posted July 14, 2006 Cathal hit the spot, but remember that you've got to ask questions relevant to you.So ask him about whether his art will fulfill your needs eg. whether you want to train for self defence, fitness etc.But really, I think the most important thing rather than arriving armed with a tonne of questions is just getting a feel for the art and the club when watching the class. Some other questions might pop into mind when you get there and begin watching and you might see some things going on that you wonder about or whatever. The most important thing is to watch the class and decide if your comfortable with the instructor, the teaching style and whether you'll be comfortable in the club or not. Smile. It makes people wonder what you've been up to.

glockmeister Posted July 14, 2006 Posted July 14, 2006 Also, talk to some of the students. You can tell a lot about a scholl and it's instructor by the students there. Do they seem friendly and helpful? or do they seem cocky and arrogant? "You know the best thing about pain? It let's you know you're not dead yet!"http://geshmacheyid.forumotion.com/f14-self-defense
