Dutch Posted May 2, 2002 Posted May 2, 2002 Wow that is a lot to take in... as they say a picture is worth a thousand words and I'd kill for a series of pictures illustrating the above technique. I'll see if I get the opportunity to read it again thought the day and post you my 'analysis' of the same. Cheers
three60roundhouse Posted May 2, 2002 Posted May 2, 2002 I tried it on my brother - it's very effective but it took millions of tries to grasp. 1st dan Tae Kwon DoYellow Belt Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu16 Years OldGirls kick butt!
Bon Posted May 3, 2002 Posted May 3, 2002 I grapple against a few guys over 100kgs, I'll give it a try on Monday if we spar. It takes sacrifice to be the best. There are always two choices, two paths to take. One is easy. And its only reward is that it's easy.
Dutch Posted May 5, 2002 Posted May 5, 2002 I had a play with the technique yesterday and today - not bad. I had seen it before (fortunately) and we drilled it during a class. Nothing really special about it however - most people who have a reasonable understanding of controlling space/volume and arm manipulation would find it pretty easy. I still think that some pictures are necessary... I'll see what I can find around the net.
YODA Posted May 13, 2002 Author Posted May 13, 2002 Hey Bon - did you give it a go? YODA2nd Degree Black Belt : Doce Pares Eskrima https://www.docepares.co.ukQualified Instructor : JKD Concepts https://www.jkdc.co.ukQualified Fitness Instructor (Weights, CV, Circuit, Kinesiology)
Bon Posted May 14, 2002 Posted May 14, 2002 YODA, nope.. haven't been training for a couple of weeks.. I had to work on my software assignment which was due, and I've been studying for physics which is on Thursday.. A guy just ran up the back of me today, so if I get my car fixed I might be without a car and not be able to go for another week or two. =/ It takes sacrifice to be the best. There are always two choices, two paths to take. One is easy. And its only reward is that it's easy.
