Brave Dave Posted April 25, 2002 Posted April 25, 2002 Hi. I'm a newbie and I as well as saying hello to everyone I thought I'd also tell you of my site I made about my 14 week trip to the Lanna Muay Thai Boxing camp last year. No, this isn't spam as I think that it is something that could be relevant to a lot of people here, some of you may have even been there yourself. Anyway, this all looks like a good forum and so I look forward to being part of it. Cheers... http://www.theapproachingstorm.com/thailand/mainmenu.htm Muay Thai: A damn tough martial art. Maybe not the hardest in the whole world (it lacks ground work) but as a practical form of fighting it is right up there with the toughest... That's what I think anyway https://www.theapproachingstorm.com/thailand/mainmenu.htm
CTpizzaboy Posted April 25, 2002 Posted April 25, 2002 Looked over your site. Got alot of cool pictures. I know the site is still in progress, but because of the pictures, the first page took awhile to loaded, even with a t3 connection. And the colors, what's up with with the blue and pink and yellow. You got alittle carried away. But the scrolling action was the worst part. It made me dizzy. And after a while I said, "What the h*ll?", and all I did was scrolled the page. I felt like I just had a couple a beers, which is bad, but without the nagging hang-over, which is good. Did a great job of bringing the experience home. Tone done the colors, I would suggest concrete gray, and anchor the background, and your site will be killer. Canh T.I often quote myself. It adds spice to my conversations.
Ninja Joe Posted April 25, 2002 Posted April 25, 2002 Sorry never heard of it. ________________________________ Try and make new memories instead of reliving old ones.
Brave Dave Posted April 25, 2002 Author Posted April 25, 2002 Hey pizzaboy, thanks for the critical analysis but I'm not too sure as to what you mean. You said the scrolling action made you dizzy and that I should anchor my background. Well I already have. On every single page. And the colours are just to make the text look a bit more interesting. Ahh well, still glad you liked it. Peace Muay Thai: A damn tough martial art. SaiFightsMS Posted April 26, 2002 Posted April 26, 2002 Welcome to the forum maybe from time to time you will share some of your experience in posts here.
CTpizzaboy Posted April 26, 2002 Posted April 26, 2002 Your background is the two Thai fighter in blue, and the foreground is your actual page, with the text and pictures. That's how I saw your web page. When I scrolled, the background stayed in one place, while the text scrolled. Cool effect, but after a while, that made me dizzy. Maybe its just me, bro, but thats how I felt. Oh, well. Canh T.I often quote myself. It adds spice to my conversations.
Joecooke007 Posted April 29, 2002 Posted April 29, 2002 I have never heard of that style. Welcome to the forums though. Boards don't hit back. -Bruce Lee
