BLOWN Posted June 25, 2006 Posted June 25, 2006 What's up everyone. Just wanted to share an experiance I had this weekend. Me and a few of my friends including my SiFu went to a Training Seminar With Richard Bustillo. It was a two day seminar in which the first day we did MuayThai, Boxing, Wrestling, and Grapping and the second day consisted of JKD, Knife Training, and Eskrima/Dolce Pares. It was pretty intense to say the least and a great experiance. There were a lot of things I didn't like in some of the training but as Bruce Lee Said, "Use what is useful, Disregard what is useless." It was good to get out there and work some different people, and get some exposure. It was cool to learn about his techiniques, philosophy, and some storys abotu him, Bruce, and Dan from back in the day. All in all, I learned a lot, and am looking forward to attend another one of his seminars. The Instructors who brought him in are trying to get him, Michael Moore, and Dan Inosanto to come out and have a seminar with us at once. That would be one hell of an experiance!!!-Ray -Pain Is Weakness Leaving The Body.-It's Not The Size Of The Dog In The Fight, But The Size Of The Fight In The Dog.
mtheiss Posted June 26, 2006 Posted June 26, 2006 It is good that you were able to go out with some of your team and to explore how different schools, teachers, and groups operated. The foundation of a good federation or diverse training techniques is a strong unified system of meetings where individuals for fun explore how everyone else ticks. ps1 Posted June 27, 2006 Posted June 27, 2006 Sweet! Sounds like a blast! "It is impossible to make anything foolproof because fools are so ingenius."
bushido_man96 Posted June 27, 2006 Posted June 27, 2006 Sounds like a nice experience. Any time you get to learn something new from a different source, it is a great experience. Sometimes even learning the same things in a new way is great, too. https://www.haysgym.comhttp://www.sunyis.com/https://www.aikidoofnorthwestkansas.com
