Mike Tyson vs. Hapkido Master...Who Would Prevail in a Stree

Nobody take this the wrong way.

I am under the assumption that most people have never fought a trained boxer. I am also under the assumption that no one has had to withstand a combo from a boxer.. of lets say light heavyweight and heavier.

People talk about kicking someone in the knee, like its so easy. yes, your leg is longer then your arm.. but i do not know many people who really squat down and kick with there leg, to give them that distance advantage. In a standing position, a kick to the kneem, would be at a angle, it almost looks like a 45 degree angle.. which means that the distance needed to hit the knee, would be about the distance needed to punch someone in the face. So, fine, you kick the guy in his knee, but guess what, he crushes you in the face.. in fact, he probably got 2-3 punches off for your 1 kick to the knee.... so fine, he drops to the ground.. and so do you....only you run the risk of 2 other problems.. 1. you could be KO'd, and 2. If not KO'd, you could be wossy.. or have blood running into your eyes (which burns and hampers vision.

Once again, it depends on the fighter.. so please please do not try to sum it all up with some comment like, I would just kick him in the knee, like its that easy, as if you wouldnt suffer any dmg.

There are many attacks that can be done to the knee with out the other fighter being in danger or too much danger i shoudl say of being hit by the boxer.

Boxing is useless put up aginst any martial art that has kicking techniques. Boxing does not teach you how to defend your legs, probably one of the most vunrable spots on your body "if a man can't stand, he can't fight".

that is a statment based on a lack of experience. hands are usually more important than kicks. if you were a fighter you would know that.

kicks leave you on one leg, that mens your one step away from being clocked in the jaw.

thats the main thing that should be pointed out.

kicks are important and im not trying to underetimate them, but people act like they are a magic cure for a boxer.

Lets also not forget that the Hapkido guy may have some weapons training. He might walk to the trunk of his car whip out his trusty sword and proceed to chop tyson into small peices. On the other hand Tyson probably carries a gun :( .

I can't believe the original question. Anyone who thinks they could survive one minute with Tyson is crazier than Mike. It would take one short arm hook that he has perfected and it's all over.

It's happy hour somewhere in the world.

AAAAHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!

Craknek is SO RIGHT!

Read what he is wrighting BKJ1216.

I do thai boxing and i can land a mighty leg kick but I could not take out even an average boxer with one leg kick. More like 6 or 7 to really do some damage.

Leg kicks dont work like that in reality. They just dont.

Im 16.5 stone times that by 14 to get my weight in pounds and im fit and very fast.

I couldnt do it with one leg strike.

A boxer will smash a hapkido guy to bits if they are on level skill because, like Craknek syas, they are conditioned and their meaning of fast is how many punches you can throw a second not how fast you can throw one punch.

I hate everyone dissing boxing too and you should all spar with a boxer and then eat your words.
