Samuel Posted June 12, 2006 Posted June 12, 2006 So, Does anyone hear play/played/want to play guitar? I just spent the best part of last night rewiring one of my guitars (A Lespaul copy i got off a carboot, But, My guitar teacher striped it bare, and rebuilt it himself for me, Hes also my Sensei!)So now its all wired I need new pickup rings..new ferrules...new screws...new neck plate... all because its still go the standard parts from when it was from the carboot apart from the pickups, which are Mightymite Motherbuckers (And as the name suggests there damn meaty and loud)So how long have people been playing if you do? and what guitars do you have
setboy Posted June 13, 2006 Posted June 13, 2006 i have been playing for 8 years. my main guitars are a carvin dc747 and a Acoustic Galveston (alot better than it sounds)

If you think only of hitting, springing, striking or touching the enemy, you will not be able actually to cut him. You must thoroughly research this. - Musashi
lordtariel Posted June 13, 2006 Posted June 13, 2006 I've got a Fender Strat and a couple of student acoustic guitars. There's no place like 127.0.0.1
patusai Posted June 13, 2006 Posted June 13, 2006 I have played off and on since the late 60's. Although that may seem like a long time and I should be pretty good at it by now...I'm not. I play to please myself. As for what kind a guitar I have, It's a cheap Yamaha which my wife got for me a few years ago after I sold my cheap electric guitar and my 12 string. I'm nowhere at the level of play that I need or want a really good guitar "Don't tell me the sky's the limit because I have seen footprints on the moon!" -- Paul Brandt
ShotokanKid Posted June 13, 2006 Posted June 13, 2006 Been playing for about 5 years. I have 2 classicals, a Fender Stratocaster, and a Gibson Songwriter Deluxe. RichardHangHong Posted June 21, 2006 Posted June 21, 2006 I used to play, but my brother had the fingers for it. I had stubby fingers so I just played the drums more. Richard Hang HongChief InstructorSeitou Ryu KarateFind me on Facebook!Seitou Ryu Karate
Canoe2fish Posted October 15, 2006 Posted October 15, 2006 I have played off and on since the late 60's. Although that may seem like a long time and I should be pretty good at it by now...I'm not. I play to please myself. As for what kind a guitar I have, It's a cheap Yamaha which my wife got for me a few years ago after I sold my cheap electric guitar and my 12 string. I'm nowhere at the level of play that I need or want a really good guitarI can relate to this...I have played off and on for over 25 years. I play when I have the urge. Somedays it flows, others plink, pllink, splink & put it away. If I had learned to read music im sure it would have been different.Oddly enough, the US Strat I bought 20 years ago never gets played...I always play a used double humbucker beater instead. Go figure. (I couldn't afford a Les Paul)
ninjanurse Posted October 15, 2006 Posted October 15, 2006 I have a Washburn Acoustic with an electric pickup. These days I only play occasionally but my kids play it alot-eventhough they have their own!
