ShotokanKid Posted June 11, 2006 Posted June 11, 2006 I wanted to see what everyone's favorite submission is.Mine is RNC. It works on anyone, which is useful because everyone I grapple with outweighs me by 20+ pounds. What's yours?P.S. On options such us chokes or locks, please specify which one. pittbullJudoka Posted June 12, 2006 Posted June 12, 2006 I use a neck crank/compression that is setup like a guillitine but I set it across the jaw and crank.People I've caught say they think their jar is going to break the pressure is so great.
Sohan Posted June 12, 2006 Posted June 12, 2006 RNC---and the guillotine from my closed guard or standing from a takedown attempt. I also have gotten halfway decent at triangle chokes, too. With respect,Sohan "If I cannot become one of extraordinary accomplishment, I will not walk the earth." ps1 Posted June 12, 2006 Posted June 12, 2006 My favorite is to choke. Preferably the RNC, but any choke will do. Gentle...but extremely effective. "It is impossible to make anything foolproof because fools are so ingenius."
Andrew_Patton Posted June 13, 2006 Posted June 13, 2006 I'm definately going with choke, nothing stops an opponent as effectively as making them go to sleep. Plus it's easy to hurt a limb, while a choke is actually brutal, yet when it's released it turns into gentleness... whereas if you snap an arm, well, nothing gently with that...
glockmeister Posted June 14, 2006 Posted June 14, 2006 I like the chokes. The most common one I use is the guillotine, I also like the rnc. "You know the best thing about pain? It let's you know you're not dead yet!"http://geshmacheyid.forumotion.com/f14-self-defense
UseoForce Posted June 14, 2006 Posted June 14, 2006 Chokes all the way. If it works, use it!If not, throw it out!
Ottman Posted June 14, 2006 Posted June 14, 2006 Chokes, specifically lapel half nelson choke while grappling with gi's, I can just imagine doing this to someone on the street wearing a jacket with a zipper. Ouch!! but serves him right for attacking me. Tae Kwon Do - 3rd Dan, InstructorBrazilian Ju Jitsu - Purple Belt, Level 1 Instructor
AndrewGreen Posted June 15, 2006 Posted June 15, 2006 Triangles are the back up, when in doubt go there, top bottom, side, doesn't matter But I've been playing more for leg locks, mainly toe holds lately. Andrew Greenhttp://innovativema.ca - All the top martial arts news!
