cathal
One of the best reasons is right there, to avoid fighting as much as possible. .The best victory is when the opponent surrendersof its own accord before there are any actualhostilities...It is best to win without fighting.- Sun-tzu

Ace2021
Well done. I've been in a situation similar to that myself, a guy and his friends picked a fight with my friend, they hit him, I hit them, they stopped. Some people will fight, but not if they are retaliated. alsey
People are ridiculous sometimes.some people just want to have a fight, which is of course ridiculous. bbk2132
good jobi am most proud that you did use MA as a first resort. It's always best to try to find a non-violent way out first, even if the guy deserved it.I've had a few issuse like that, and i always grab the wrist get them in a position where they are on the ground, unable to attack, or i can easisly cause pain when they struggle, (such as an arm bar where i can threaten to snap their arm like a twig...hehe). This way i have a chance to talk to them about why what they did was wrong/stupid. i just love to lecture while they are on the ground whimpering.
