I think you did the right thing. You tried to help your friend first and didn't just go in there "all guns blazing" ready to show off your MA skills. Instead you used your MA training as a last resort.

Hope your friend is OK.

I talked to him today, he has a splitting headache and his right cheekbone is nice and blue-ish yellow, besides that he'll be alright. The guy who hit him was a gorilla, one shot and he almost broke his face. I'm glad I didn't tango with that one haha

You mean you have rednecks in Michigan. I thought down here in Alabama was the only place that had rednecks.... :brow: just kidding...glad everyones ok.

There's always one person at aparty that comes looking for a fight.And lucky you found 3.Sounds like you pretty much done what you're trained to do react with a simple action and tageting without hesitation.Glad to hear your buddy is ok.

I am with everyone on this by saying you did the right thing, but I do not think that you needed to hit him harder the "drop him." What you did was adequate and it stopped the fight. Good for you.

Bad thing I see about it is it couldn have turned worse by the results of the strike.

I knew a guy who got into a fight. The kid fell backwards and hit his head on a curb and died. I know that he didnt mean for it to happen, but it did and he had to go to jail.
