MuayTB1 Posted July 25, 2001 Posted July 25, 2001 What do you think is the best weapon? The kind of weapon or a fomous one. Do you have a story to share on a legandy weapon? I think the coolest kind of weapon is the chinese shien. It is a dubble edge sword that is flexible like a body of a snake. "Don't think!! Feel..." -Bruce Leehttps://www.muaythaiboxing.friendpages.comThis site is dumb but I made it so it is good.
thaiboxerken Posted July 25, 2001 Posted July 25, 2001 I think the best weapon is a knife. You can carry one virtually anywhere and it has so many uses. It is a very fast weapon and doesn't take power to do it's job, which is to stab and cut. The knife is the weapon which holds most repect from me. This weapon is the most practical in today's society. Now.. If I lived in a sword weilding society, my weapon of choice would be two swords, a long and a short, like Daishi. Daishi is a Katana and Wakazashi, it's a really nasty combo to deal with. Just kick 'em, they'll understand.- Me Apprentice Instructor under Guro Inosanto in Jun Fan Gung Fu and Filipinno Martial arts.Certified Instructor of Frank Cucci's Linxx system of martial arts.
Karateka Posted July 25, 2001 Posted July 25, 2001 I think one of the coolest weapons was the multi crossbow in Gladiator, that thing is the coolest. I would actually prefer a wooden bo to anything. I have saved my life with lots of sticks and bo before. "Never hit a man while he's down; kick him, its easier"Sensei Ron Bagley (My Sensei)
Angus Posted July 25, 2001 Posted July 25, 2001 Heh, the katana and wakizashi are good combo's for your dungeons and dragons Kensai too! Angus Courage is resistance to fear, mastery of fear, not absence of fear.
niel0092 Posted July 26, 2001 Posted July 26, 2001 Coolest weapon: Katana, esp. Grass Cutter one of Japans royal treasures. Cool story. Weapon(s) I want to learn: tonfa, short stick, staff weapons I can use: I did broad sword in SCA for a while. Fun, but the armor's awfully heavy. Plus, I was much better if I had a shield. thaiboxerken Posted July 26, 2001 Posted July 26, 2001 SCA.. lol. I've been to a few event... these guys are nuts, they just stand in front of each other and bash... no foot-work or tecnique. Most of these guys are fat geeks that didn't get enough from playing D&D on paper. My cousin fought in a tournament to become "king" of the area..... even at that level, they were truly just bashing each other without tecnique. Just kick 'em, they'll understand.- Me Apprentice Instructor under Guro Inosanto in Jun Fan Gung Fu and Filipinno Martial arts.Certified Instructor of Frank Cucci's Linxx system of martial arts.

Taesujutsudrw Posted July 28, 2001 Posted July 28, 2001 egarlock, LOL, I agree...by far the best weapon is the human brain. However, I also like any bladed weapon, as long as it is a live weapon. niel0092 Posted July 29, 2001 Posted July 29, 2001 Yeah, no real technique to it at all(reason I quit). Regardless, it was fun. This Message was edited by: niel0092 on Jul 29, 2001 8:55pm "Jita Kyoei" Mutual Benefit and Welfare
iamrushman Posted July 30, 2001 Posted July 30, 2001 i prefer the cane for a weapon of choice. it needs no concealment or licence to carry and the opponent takes it as a handicap giving me the upper hand and the advantage. plus it works as a staff with a hook. rushman (karate forums sensei)3rd dan wtf/kukkiwon"saying nothing...sometimes says the most"--e. dickerson
