I recently attained my black belt in tae kwon do, after training for 3+ years. Anyways, there are alot of black belts that have crazy skill, i just was wondering if anyone knew a site where it shows pictures and descriptions of different types of kicks, I want to learn some fancy kicks, because thats what I'm pretty much focused on, since its Tae Kwon Do, i find it good to focus mainly on style and fancy because its more of a sport then serious self defense.

You could also just play around a bit and try making up some of your own.

Not sure what style of TKD you trained in, but my training (WTF and ATA)has always included self defense, joint locks, basic grappling, etc.

As far as the kicks, google XMA and see if you can find videos of the creative forms divisions at the US Open, Diamond Nationals, etc.

not that you haven't addressed this but i must say, in our system we have awesome self defense that in some ways we focus on more than the kicks and basic technique.

list some of the advanced kicks that you do so we know what to tell you. use your skip kicks to add a kick of your choice. take one cool as hell awsome tkd kick at a time. get it down and then move on to the next. its hard to kill 12 birds with one wheel kick. also so you know who your talking to, i am a red belt instructor so you may not think this info is useful. hope it helps!

be polite, be patient, be alert, be brave, do your best, respect yourself and others.

haha

I don't know for sure what it's called, that's just what I've always thought of it as.

It was called the spinaroony years ago when Booker T was in the WWF. You're like, on your back, and you rotate your legs and your body moves with you. You like, corkscrew till your feet touch the ground and you're just crouched down. It's hard to explain, but it looked so cool.

And let's say you happen to mess up a kick and fall, just spin up off the ground and be like "Yeah, I meant to do that. 8) "

Holy cow, girls would be all over you. :D
