kzshin Posted June 23, 2006 Posted June 23, 2006 According to Chinese legend and popular Chinese believe, a martial art master named Chang San Fon, created Tai Chi, and later on he went to Wu dan mountain and create Wu Dan Pi(in chinese, not sure how to translate to english, the closest translation probably is Style.) Anyway, so Wu Dan Tai Chi, supposely is the roots of all Tai Chi. Any other tai chi supposely is derived from Wu Tang Tai Chi. (please don't flame, this is according to most popular chinese legend and believes regarding Tai Chi.)
Maxma Posted July 5, 2006 Posted July 5, 2006 "After researching the exact same thing for several years, I must say that, 'no' you would not be practicing the exact same thing"This is exactly true, because no two people teach the same way, with the same emphasis, with the same mindset. That's what makes meeting others wonderful. If you want a simile, it is as a rose bush: all the flowers are beautiful, but no two the same. Work Hard, Play Hard, Live Hard, but Love Softly, and with all your Heart,For Time waits for no one,and Life goes hand-in-hand.~Max
Kajukenbopr Posted July 11, 2006 Posted July 11, 2006 it would basically be the same material for both someone who studies in china and someone who studies outside of china- if the title of sifu or master is awarded, he knows how to teach the material. <> Be humble, train hard, fight dirty
