Well good luck. There is no replacement for an instructor, but you can do your best from videos and books. The key is to experiment and see EXACTLY what works BEST. See if your opponent can stop it, how, etc. Will you be as good as a guy with an instructor? No. Will you be better at ground fighting than a guy who has never trained? Yes. So at least it's something.
