getawaytkd
Okay, its 10pm, all hardware stores are closed, my black belt test is tomorrow, and the guy who was cutting the boards cut them wrong and now all the boards are much bigger and possibly thicker than what they are supposed to be. My black belt test is at 9am tomorrow. I knew something was going to go wrong!
Aodhan
Calm down, relax, have some chips and dip. The thickness should be the same, regardless, there isn't a lot of difference between breaking a 3/4" or a 1" board.Second, if they are bigger than you expected, that actually makes it easier. Picture it this way. Is it easier to break a brand new pencil that is really long, or a really short pencil? If you have a wider board, it will make the break easier. It certainly won't make it harder.Relax, breathe, get some rest. All will be well in the morning, and good luck on your test!!Aodhan There are some people who live in a dream world, and there are some who face reality; and then there are those who turn one into the other.-Douglas Everett, American hockey player
getawaytkd
i guess you're right, but the boards aren't wider their around an inch or two longer, and it has to meet criteria for the board holders (vices) for the instructors to absorb the impact on kicks and such. bushido_man96
I had a black belt testing for (2nd dan) where the boards were cut to small of dimensions. There wasn't very much surface area to land the techniques on when trying to break. It did not go so well. But hey, you do your best, learn from it, and then move on.Good luck. https://www.haysgym.comhttp://www.sunyis.com/https://www.aikidoofnorthwestkansas.com
