Then you must become comfortable with the boards. Because if you are not comfortable with the boards...then you are not comfortable with the test. They are part and parcel. Do not allow two small pieces of wood demonstrate more resiliency than you. It sounds as though you have already given up mentally. If this is the case...no one here can help you. They are only wood, and you are only flesh. Either one can destroy the other...you decide which.

your right, its just two pieces of wood, im not going to let a couple of boards from acheiving what i worked so hard for. thanks everyone

Also think that the target is not those boards, but the area below past it. Think through the boards.

A great martial artist is one who is humble and respectful of others.

Sounds like you're going to do fine. Something to help build your confidence would be to keep up the practice, prove to yourself you can consistently break two boards.

Something else you can do is check into breaking other materials (with the permission of your instructor of course) like thin stones.

Focus! Don't hit the boards hit beyond the boards. When guys aim for the fence in baseball they sometimes keep on hitting the ball off the fence. Aim beyond. Good luck :)
