I think that if you can throw them go for it. The higher the kick the higher the risk of encountering a problem. Like everything else you have to assess the risk and make a decision. Even with low kicks you can encounter a problem of some sort.

well, you can't prove a point by example , some times you can disprove but for sure you can't prove it. next time you may roundhouse kick to somebody's head and he kicks you under at the same time which happens a lot in Kyukoshin fights.

happens a lot in muay thai too. We call it a cut kick.
