we covered a lot in advanced class tonight but what i enjoyed the most in class today was drilling on hip throw and finishing with an arm bar.

opponent cross jab-reciever open hand center block the downward fan block slipping a spearhand behind the opponent getting your hip and belt beneath their belt to where you can lift off the ground if that makes sense, after the hip throw, hanging on to their lets say right arm depends what side you start on in fighting stance left foot under or near the back of their head, sit down lay back and thrust hips up blah balh i'm sure most of you know all this already but i love to train in it with the black belts they know i love the abuse and am very willing to learn...

other drills tonight were sparring drills

double fan block downward and upward

oposing fan blocks

we did about two hundred of each on each side mainly emphisizing on turning the torso to rely on technique rather then power.

it was a simple class but i got a lot out of it. simple meaning basic not easy

just thought id share for the heck of it. comments welcome.

I taught at a dojo tonight working just wrist grabs and they couldn't believe all the different variations possible and I didn't show them hardly any. I love teaching some of the simplest things, sometimes thats really the most fun.

i haven't while in martial arts but i have done it in a fight years ago, without the arm bar.

i will get the oppertunity though. our fight nights aren't always for the weak hearted. i can't wait, but even if i can't pull it off agianst another martial artist, i'll keep training. i am currently a 2nd red so i am still in the diaper stages of a beginner
