Whitefeather Posted May 8, 2006 Posted May 8, 2006 Greetings you all,Here is a question to ponder and answer:If you could go back 5, 10, 15, or however many years, what is one thing that you would have done differently, and why?For me, I would have learned a musical instrument, because it seems like music is something that enriches one's quality of life.David "Between genius and insanity, there lies a fine line. I like to think of it as the tip of the diving board."-An anonymous insane genius"Fight I, not as one that beateth the air"

Sohan Posted May 8, 2006 Posted May 8, 2006 Nothing. Despite any so-called mistakes I have made in my life, without them I would not have followed the path I have to where I have arrived today. I have a wonderful wife, a beautiful son, and a warm and inviting home because of the decisions I have made. I have no regrets, though at times it has been a very daunting journey. With respect,Sohan "If I cannot become one of extraordinary accomplishment, I will not walk the earth." marie curie Posted May 8, 2006 Posted May 8, 2006 Absolutely nothin- everything that I've done I've learned too much from to miss out. I wouldn't want to be right where I am. Well... maybe I would have bet a 3 in race 7 instead of that 5.....nah You suck-train harder.......................Don't block with your faceA good traveler has no fixed plans, and is not intent on arriving. -Lao Tzu
Kieran-Lilith Posted May 8, 2006 Posted May 8, 2006 There's a Zen koan my instructor shared with us the other day..."Everything that is, is, so that everything else that is, can be." He who gains a victory over other men is strong; but he who gains a victory over himself is all powerful Lao-tsu
patusai Posted May 8, 2006 Posted May 8, 2006 I would have buckled down when I first got into college instead of years later "Don't tell me the sky's the limit because I have seen footprints on the moon!" -- Paul Brandt
karatekid1975 Posted May 8, 2006 Posted May 8, 2006 I would have stayed in school (got my G.E.D), attended college when I had the chance (for free ... I worked for the college itself), and .... well I won't go there ... for now. My youth wasn't all it was "supposed to be." Laurie F

jaymac Posted May 10, 2006 Posted May 10, 2006 I think that I would have applied myself more in high school. I got good grades, but I think I could have taken more challenging classes. A great martial artist is one who is humble and respectful of others.
