gateqway Posted May 7, 2006 Posted May 7, 2006 Excuse me guys, recently I have joined Jeff Speakman's American Kenpo Karate. So far I've been impressed by what im seeing and learning so far, but I'm not sure about how it compares to other kenpo styles and what's the general opinion about it.I appreciate the help. Most people’s compassion and kindness are bounded by threats of their interest. People respond to irritancies will dire actions and speech, which is magnified by grudge, competitiveness and fear.
Brandon Fisher Posted May 7, 2006 Posted May 7, 2006 I can't comment on whats different but Jeff was trained by Ed Parker so I think what he teaches his students is very similar to what he was taught. Brandon FisherSeijitsu Shin Do
parkerlineage Posted May 8, 2006 Posted May 8, 2006 eff was trained by Ed Parker so I think what he teaches his students is very similar to what he was taught. If it were true that everybody taught by SGM Parker taught like they were taught, there would not be nearly so many associations and branches of American Kenpo. So, I don't know. But the name rings a bell; I'll look into it. American Kenpo Karate- First Degree Black Belt"He who hesitates, meditates in a horizontal position."Ed Parker
Sohan Posted May 14, 2006 Posted May 14, 2006 Thanks. That was really great to watch. With respect,Sohan "If I cannot become one of extraordinary accomplishment, I will not walk the earth."
