How to lose a "friend"

Listening to Dane cook and the piece with the friend everyone loves to hate came on…I find that to be wicked funny. I have a friend like that, well he isn’t a friend he is just a kid who is always around my group of friend. How do we make him leave? He is one of my friend’s old friends, but my friends find me to be far more fun than him and less annoying… we ditch him as much as possible and somehow he finds us…HELP!!!

I had a friend who the group decided was no longer welcomed. This guy hung around with us years ago and then moved on to other things that we were not interested in. His interests made him somewhat of an outcast....somewhat nothing...they made him an outcast. Afer a time he cleaned up his act and tried getting back in the group but the group was not comfortable with it. I tried helping. It didn't work. Most of the groupd didn't want him around anymore. It was one of the biggest mistakes in my life.

Life is funny, life is too short. He is just trying to belong. Everyone should belong. Try getting along would be my suggestion. Let him in the circle. If you can't see yourselves doing that then just tell him that you don't want to hang out with him.

The best of luck to you and the friend that you mentioned too.... :)

Well, not to crash your party, but I whole heartidly agree with patusai. Try thinking about what it would be like walking in his shoes. If that does not work, then forget about that method and just accept him and try to make him part of your circle of friends. Chances are, he is just trying to belong, as patusai said, and, if you accept him, he will stop being annoying. Trust me, I have plenty of experience from both sides (actually, mostly from the outside), and nothing hurts more than people trying to ditch you. Nothing.

Or you can try telling him "Go away."
