patusai Posted May 6, 2006 Posted May 6, 2006 Good luck on your Pian Ni Dan kata. Does Wado Ryu use the actual Pian Ni Dan or is it the what was called at one time Pian Sho Dan version? I suppose the best way to answer this (since after writing this I confused myself a bit) is this the first Pian kata that you are learning or have you learned Pian Sho Dan yet? Just curious. Either way, the best of luck "Don't tell me the sky's the limit because I have seen footprints on the moon!" -- Paul Brandt

sliknik Posted May 8, 2006 Author Posted May 8, 2006 hi2mmow im doing my driving lesson https://www.kempojitsu.co.ukhttps://www.hyogendo.com
Sohan Posted May 8, 2006 Posted May 8, 2006 hithis the first Pinan nidan kata that i have learn, i have not learned Pian Sho DanOur school used to teach Pinan Nidan first, before Pinan Shodan, but we have changed to a numerical order. I think that Nidan first is actually more of a logical progression, myself. With respect,Sohan "If I cannot become one of extraordinary accomplishment, I will not walk the earth." Zen Master Nakahara Nantenbo"A man who has attained mastery of an art reveals it in his every action." Samuarai maxim"Knowing others is wisdom; knowing yourself is Enlightenment." Lao-Tzu
Fish Posted May 8, 2006 Posted May 8, 2006 Nidan is an easier kata than Shodan, so our school teaches it first. Our order is Nidan, Sandan, Shodan, Yodan, Godan. "They can because they think they can." - School Motto.(Shodan 11th Oct 08)
