Hiya everyone, thank you so much for your help.

Jack, you misunderstood me. I am going to start another art, but I'm defintely going to continue with TKD also.

And Yoda, I am going to start aikido over the summer, and if I like it I'm going to continue till I die.

Well I was hoping the wing chun place was good, but I guess it might focus too much on

fitness or something. Plus it doesn't have contact sparring   Too bad wing chun doesn't seem to be too popular around the area I live.

hmm.. here's a hapkido school http://www.modernhapkido.com that I might go to, but I doubt it. What do you people think of that one? I feel weird asking question after question. Sorry guys

Thank you

Cya

It is only with the heart that one can see clearly, for the most essential things are invisible to the eye.

the best way to to look for a school is to get off the computer and go see a class. have a talk with the instructor. that's the best way to gauge what's going on. if they're really nice, they'll let you try classes for free! read the article by john funk (in kickboxingl.com, of course) in choosing the school for you. being there is the best way to find out.

oh also yoda

"Aikido is a great art with many benefits for it's practitioners. I don't believe realistic self protection to be one of those benefits. "

so aikido isn't a realistic self protection? why though?

Thank you

my preference is to take just one at a time and be good at it.. (though it would be to take aikido along side karate.. interesting.. only if there were some dojo around..)

yeah I guess you are right muythaiposer.

I'm going to probably check out the proffesional martial arts site, and if I don't like it then my next choice will defintely be aikido. It's because from the way you talk it seems like aikido is really hard or something. Common, after 20 years it still can't be super hard, and even then still hard to use on the streets. Thank you so much for your help.

Any more advice would be great tho.
