jaymac
A friend of mine was up there for awhile and she said that she attended a very good JKA Shotokan school. Ask around when you get there. That is how she found this school, by word of mouth. I wish I could remember his name...Definetely Shihan something. Sorry, not much help, but good luck. A great martial artist is one who is humble and respectful of others.

Sohan
i just fund this: http://www.bjj.org/academies/#NYtheres one in albany. The instructor is a purple belt and is several notches down the lineage from the Gracie family. Not sure if this matters that much, but I wonder if the level of instruction will be as good as what he would get at the Gracie academy. Of course, if that's the best place to train, then you do what you gotta do.Respectfully,Sohan "If I cannot become one of extraordinary accomplishment, I will not walk the earth." jnpnshr411
I dont know if a Gracie academy is the best place to train, but from what I have seen their fighters dish out and take, I'm fairly certain that they train students very wellBTW: I have always been under the impression that only black belts open schools and are head instructors. It may be my own misconception, but can anyone enlighten me. im G A Y and i love you i W A N K over you EVERY DAY!!!
