G95champ Posted April 18, 2002 Posted April 18, 2002 You do that Combat Ki stuff I saw on TV? (General George S. Patton Jr.) "It's the unconquerable soul of man, and not the nature of the weapon he uses, that ensures victory."
Jack Posted April 18, 2002 Posted April 18, 2002 Everybody can use ki in their training. It is not a mystical energy, there is no mystery around it. It is simply a way of centering your body and moving from the itten/tanden for strong, fluid motion. I'd recommend practicing your haragei to cultivated ki. Its not mystical like many make it out to be, but it is an excelent way of improving coordination, balance, and fluidity. JackCurrently 'off' from formal MA trainingKarateForums.com
G95champ Posted April 19, 2002 Posted April 19, 2002 O don't get me wrong we work on our ki. I just still in shock of how those Combat Ki people train. (General George S. Patton Jr.) "It's the unconquerable soul of man, and not the nature of the weapon he uses, that ensures victory."
