tigerstyle18 Posted April 16, 2002 Posted April 16, 2002 I recently have been very interested in learning more about this style. I've heard it's a no BS kind of MA. Are there any katas in JKD or is it mostly for combat? If so, I bet I would like it. When two tigers fight, one dies and the other is mortally wounded.
Blade13 Posted April 16, 2002 Posted April 16, 2002 Its a combat martial art. No kata involved. Check out the combat martial arts forum. There are some threads on JKD in there.

AndrewGreen Posted July 26, 2003 Posted July 26, 2003 One of the main principles of JKD is "No kata" ... Of course a lot of JKD people do things that are essentially kata, but don't call them that Andrew Greenhttp://innovativema.ca - All the top martial arts news!

Drunken Monkey Posted July 26, 2003 Posted July 26, 2003 well, they don't even call it a style, more a "way of thinking"... post count is directly related to how much free time you have, not how intelligent you are."When you have to kill a man it costs nothing to be polite."
