my instructor was 6th degree last time i saw him, but that has been a few years now. He teaches MDK TKD a style very similar to shotokan and tangsoodo. The assistant instructor is a second dan i believe, he never chose to continue testing, he also has a background in some types of kung fus...not sure which.

My kung fu instructor for mantis and tiger im not quite sure of his rank or his instructor....i know them both but we never did a class room type training it was always informal one on one usually....but we still trained.

I run my own school, and still train at another school.

I am a 3rd degree in a different art. At the other school, there are three teachers a 4th dan is the head teacher, a 2nd dan and a first dan. I am only a brown in this style.

What is "original karate?"

Most often when people say this, they mean Okinawan Karate.

My teacher is a 6th degree black belt in American Kenpo.

However, when I graduate, and go off to college in a few months, I also plan to make another 6th degree, a 7th degree, and a 5th degree supplementary instructors as well.

Each of mine taught karate (although one also taught Aikido). They ranged from 3rd to 9th.
