Brandon Fisher Posted March 30, 2006 Posted March 30, 2006 Normally you hear of Tameshigiri using a katana and I have seen some beautiful deomstrations done with a katana. However my current katanas are the cheap ones that just don't do much even though they are sharp but I am going to try with my kama. As anyone ever done it? yamesu Posted April 5, 2006 Posted April 5, 2006 Ive done tameshigiri with daito and daisho, but never with kama.Just remember to focus on getting the blade exactly on-line to the cut the whole way through.Be super careful, IMO, I wouldnt do this outside of the dojo, with my sensei and shihan supervising.
