Brandon Fisher Posted April 23, 2006 Posted April 23, 2006 How do you all feel about $20 a belt test up to ikkyu and shodan is higher because of costs on certificates and all? Brandon FisherSeijitsu Shin Do
sliknik Posted May 4, 2006 Posted May 4, 2006 i do kempo jitsu and the gradings is £20 https://www.kempojitsu.co.ukhttps://www.hyogendo.com
jaymac Posted May 10, 2006 Posted May 10, 2006 I do not feel $20.00 is a high fee to pay for a testing. A great martial artist is one who is humble and respectful of others.

phatkata Posted May 15, 2006 Posted May 15, 2006 In my old school...there is cost fee for black belt test grading is $100.
RichardHangHong Posted May 15, 2006 Posted May 15, 2006 In my club we charge £15 for all kyu gradings, which includes the belt. Black belt gradings are £15, but this is only to cover the cost of registering the grading with our governing body and to get a black belt certificate from them. We don't include the belt with the grading fee, they order it seperately through the club, either a plain belt at £3 or a tokaido embroidered belt at £70. Students order the tokaido belt through us to make sure that they get the correct club kanji on it. Richard Hang HongChief InstructorSeitou Ryu KarateFind me on Facebook!Seitou Ryu Karate
Eugeu_Ryu_Stylist Posted May 16, 2006 Posted May 16, 2006 My Sensei charges $20 every seven weeks for tuition, and $10 for the testing and belt fee. I can say this, there are no complaints.
getawaytkd Posted May 21, 2006 Posted May 21, 2006 black belt testing fee's are always high, i had to pay 900$ for mine
jaymac Posted June 1, 2006 Posted June 1, 2006 wow, $900.00, now that is alot. I paid $150.00 and I got an embroidered belt, a new gi, and two t-shirts. A great martial artist is one who is humble and respectful of others.
