kenpo4lyfe
I am a yelow belt in american kenpo and I was wondering what other martial artist thought of it. Im trying to decide if i should keep with it or not. I come to you with only "Karate" - empty hands. I have no weapons; but should I be forced to defend myself, my principles or my honor; should it be a matter of life or death, or right or wrong; then here are my weapons - "Karate" - my empty hands. parkerlineage
YES!ANOTHER AK PERSON!!Definetly stick with it. You're at one of the most difficult stages right now - the transition from yellow to orange is very hard, because you've moved from basic basics to advanced basics and tons of new principles. You're going to find that Kenpo is very adaptable to your own desires, but also very scientific and complex. If you ever have any questions about anything, I either know the answer, or know who to ask to find the answer.Who's your instructor, by the way?Good to see another American Kenpoist here.PS. Nice quote on your signature American Kenpo Karate- First Degree Black Belt"He who hesitates, meditates in a horizontal position."Ed Parker
granmasterchen
as long as you are getting good instruction you might as well continue training. I would only move on if i thought i wasn't getting good instruction. That which does not destroy me will only make me stronger
