Spirituality in Eastern MA

Western martial arts (boxing, wrestling, savate, catch, firearms tactics and so on) never have anything more spiritual about them than following rules or an honor code. They are purely empirical and straightforward.

Many (not all) Eastern martial arts are full of complicated mental, moral, and spirtual practices (Stuff like budo, bushido and all that).

At the risk of sounding simplistic (I'm really tired right now) why do Eastern martial arts have this and Western do not?

Good question. I think it is just a western philosophy difference is the basics of it.

Keep in mind

Budo (way of war) or Bushido (Way of the warrior) inparticular a samurai thing to say it bluntly. The bushido was a code followed by the samurai clans in feudal Japan.

I know there is someone who can expand on this more I am kinda rusty on it.

I would need some reference to specific styles or systems in order to actually get any deeper, as I am not sure of any pure Martial Art that dips into spirituality.

Recall, their is a difference between spirituality, religion, and philosophy. None of these terms are truly interchangeable for the other.
