shankbone
I have this small, hardwood katana. It measures to about 55 centimeters or 22 inches from the tip to the bottom of the handle.I don't know a lot about classifactions of swords, but I believe this is about the same length as a wakizashi samurai sword. So do I call this a wooden wakizashi or something else? It doesn't matter all that much but I'd just like the correct name.
niel0092
I think that still would qualify as a bokken. Maybe this will help:http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bokken "Jita Kyoei" Mutual Benefit and Welfare
Jussi Häkkinen
It's a bokken/bokuto. Kodachi (wakizashi) by its length. Jussi HäkkinenOkinawan Shorin-Ryu Seibukan Karate-Do (Kyan Chotoku lineage)TurkuFinland
