A shorter chain, more control. Better for STRIKING with is more important than fancy juggling...anyone can learn tricks but to HIT with them is a little different.

wood and cord, but the rope on mine is shortened for joint locks and easy manipulation

I have to say i prefer the chained wooden version as i find it easyer to perform roll stops with chained ones.

Wood and cord, its as unknownstyle said, better for joint locks and control

Martial arts training is 30% classroom training, 70% solo training.
