Can someone reccomend a good jump/skipping rope?

I just need something to use for cardio when I can't run or something. What kind of ropes do you like?

If it works, use it!

If not, throw it out!

Is this a stupid question? I just want to make sure I get something that won't fall apart after a good workout.

If it works, use it!

If not, throw it out!

Pardon me, couldnt resist that cheap gag!!

To awnser your question...id recommend a leather or plastic, rubber rope.

I feel a traditional rope could wear out faster.

As far as length or make, that has to be something you'll have to shop for.

Good luck in training, hope you find a good make!

Now hop it! :P

Be like water my friend!!

I've had rubber ropes break on me. rubber will break at the ends (right near the handle) from repeeated turning. I absolutely HATE leather ropes - they tend not to be heavy enough. All else being equal, I buy rubber ropes though - they tend to be heavier and turn better. I also like the string ropes with plastic links.

ropes typically come 8,9 or 10 feet long. play with each length and see which works best with your height.

there are no stupid questions...

it is not a stupid question.

Get plastic or rubber, don't try and get fancy ones with weights on the ends, but ones with ball bearings are nice.

Cheaps ones will do fine, for rope size you want both ends of the handles to reach up to your armpit when you step on the middle of the ropes.

Hope this helps, if not theres always google.

Aikido have names for techniques like "heaven and earth."which represents the creation of the universe along with a philosophical meaning.

Muay Thai have names for techniques like "closing the lamp", which means "punch him in the eye."

Will it tell me on the package what size to get for my height?

If it works, use it!

If not, throw it out!
