karatekid1975
I like the straight punch in sparring (must come from my point sparring days), because I score with it 90% of the time or backfist (if that counts), but I can't use that in TKD. KK
I like using Mae-ken when I am sparring and the follow up with a punch to the body.Sometimes use the Mae-ken as a decoy and often capitalise with the punch to the body.

KK
Uraken is one of my faves too but again would only use it as a follow up punch rather than a starting technique during a fight.
Whitefeather
My favorite would be by far the Yagi-I think that is the right word. To explain, it is a reverse hand straight punch (yakazuki), except you bring your fist up to head-level then start the punch. You bring your hand up by pivoting your entire arm upwards in a circular outwards motion, the pivot point at the shoulder, so at the checkpoint your palm faces away from your head. In other words, the punch starts at the head level and hits at the sternum level. It is fearfully effective at penetrating peoples gaurd. Especially when followed by a front hand uppercut to the ribs.Just my 3 cents,Dave "Between genius and insanity, there lies a fine line.
