L0G1C
I don't know what kind of broad sword this is, but I really liked that sword No Name had in "Hero." That was cool cuz it was wobbly, so you could slap a fool with the side of the blade. Sohan
I own a couple short swords that my ex picked up on a trip to Japan. Intricate design and sharp as a razor. Beautiful pieces. They're not practical as everyday weapons, but my Sensei has shown me some forms that can utilize them.Respectfully,Sohan "If I cannot become one of extraordinary accomplishment, I will not walk the earth." Blackbeltblonde
Katana's and Wakazashi's (sp?) are my favorite.. we own lots of different styles of swords and those two are the best for slicing I believe ~BBB Training 14 yearsKalkinodo Blackbelt
Aodhan
For forms, I like the katana styled blades. For fighting in the SCA (Society for Creative Anachronism) I use a rapier and a parrying dagger in my off hand.Aodhan There are some people who live in a dream world, and there are some who face reality; and then there are those who turn one into the other.-Douglas Everett, American hockey player
Tef
The Jian's my favorite sword because it's really fast and bladed on both sides. Destined To Bring Light

parkerlineage
I have to put in my word for the dao and double dao, here. Great maneuverability and slicing capabilities, and quite light, too. alsey
the katana is the only sword i've actually practiced with, and its great! i think i definately prefer two handed swords, but i'd be interested in trying other types of sword.
