tigerstyle18 Posted April 15, 2002 Posted April 15, 2002 Yeah and, "Don't be a playa hata!" When two tigers fight, one dies and the other is mortally wounded.
Arts_not_Brutality Posted April 25, 2002 Posted April 25, 2002 maybe taking down ppl is easier in judo, but ppl who can get 15 points ahead of their adversaru are awarded with the win in wrestling. It's assumed after 15 points, there's a major advantage in either speed or skill, that the other can't overcome-he's usually better than his opponent
Arts_not_Brutality Posted April 25, 2002 Posted April 25, 2002 Sorry, couldn't resist bustin up all the good insults. lol
striking_cobra Posted April 25, 2002 Posted April 25, 2002 lol, those were some good insults weren't they? " The art of Kung Fu San Soo lies not in victory or defeat, but in the building of human character." Grand Master Jimmy H. Woo
jiu-jitsu fighter Posted January 7, 2003 Posted January 7, 2003 he should have been eliminated , thats not what sthe sport is about, techniques is everything , he should have at least , submitted his opponent from standing "When we go to the ground, you are in my world, the ground is the ocean, I am the shark, and most people don't even know how to swim"
LOILOI44 Posted January 13, 2003 Posted January 13, 2003 In response to bjjbarbie... I would think it would take more skill to take an opponent down 15 consecutive times then to take him down and start hitting him in the face till he's unconscious.
unknown Posted January 14, 2003 Posted January 14, 2003 you gotta point LOILOI44 like BJJ, Judo is extremely technical........ i do jiu jitsu as well as kickboxing and i have messed around with BJJ and Judo and let me tell you, Judo is ALOT harder then BJJ....... and about BJJ dominating over Judo? well it all depends on the person........one of the Judo senseis at the dojo can make anybody of any style submit....thats how much experiance he has.......lets not get into this comparing thing again!
LOILOI44 Posted January 14, 2003 Posted January 14, 2003 I guess it's all about perception. I've seen Judo done really well. The BJJ I've seen probably hasn't been of the highest quality.
