xnfx
Hey guys, just wondering if any of you use wrestling headgear to protect against cauliflower ear, and if so, which one? Is there one that protects better than most, or are they all pretty much the same? Thanks!
SubGrappler
I dont wear em, simply because my ears are already messed up and they're very cumbersome to wear. During the time that my ears were swelling, I did get a chance to use different types of headgear. Any kind will generally suit you well, but I found the ones with the hard plastic covering did the best job of preventing your ears from getting smashed. It acted as a shell surrounding your ear, whereas other types of headgear actually rest against your ear.Either or will work- if your ears arent inflammed, doesnt matter which one you use, but if they're sore, I'd go with a pair that has a hard plastic outer covering. SoonerJohn
I don't wear them either, but wish I would have while wrestling all those years. Its my most embarrissing feature.I liked the ones that rested against my ears though, they had a smaller profile. Although I do see the point Subgrappler is making.

xnfx
Cool, can you tell me what you like about them?
dave3006
They don't collapse under force and they do not move on your head.If they move on your head or collapse, they can make it EASIER to get califlower.

Do you know if the bottom strap is a chin strap, or a throat one?Anyone know where I can find the ones that have chin straps instead of throat ones?
