yamesu Posted February 9, 2006 Posted February 9, 2006 Connecting with the square of the ball of foot, directly under the big toe is quite the same as striking/punching connecting with two knuckles.Where I come from this is used to break opponents jaw, floating rib or cause internal throat damage. TheAnimal Posted February 11, 2006 Posted February 11, 2006 Why oh why would anyone ever want to hit something with the instep of their foot?
Morgan Posted March 29, 2006 Posted March 29, 2006 I was wondering another thing about the round kick. When I kick high I always have to turn my hip over a bit more than my leg, which means my back is showing for the opponent. At the point of impact should your hip be in line with your leg, I mean should they be pointing exactly in the same direction? If I lift my leg straight out to the side I can just get it a little above knee level. I try to stretch but I'm having a hard time getting any more flexible sideways. Or maybe flexibility isn't the issue? If anyone has got any advice/tips or can tell me what my problem is I would really appreciate it.
marie curie Posted March 29, 2006 Posted March 29, 2006 I have the same problem. I think flexibility is the isuue- I'm way flexible lots of ways, but not that way I keep meaning to work on it, but I forget.
