DragonMike
Wow,So, they'll train you to be an instructor even if you have never had martial art experience before? This seems a little bit fishy to me. Unless the disclaimer says "training could take 5+ years." But even then it is misleading. 5th Dan Tang Soo Do
Mr. Mike
a person could be trained to teach cardio kickboxing in 4-6 weeks. we're not talking in tensive martial arts skills here. when they post an ad like that, they're looking for 'pretty' people. Jeet Kune Do
it wasnt funny but............ A drop of sweat spent in practice is a drop of blood saved in a battle.A person who say it cannot be done should not interrupt the man doing it.

scotto
A good friend of mine just got a job like that. In Australia you can become an accredited martial arts instructor in 8 weeks. It is a pretty full on course but you are handed a black belt and certificate at the end. He came out of the Defence force though and had a fairly through grasp of hand to hand combat, but still, don't really think this is the way it should be done. When you teach kickboxing for fitness you only really need to know proper technique. But still, I think some experience with kickboxing would be better. Now martial arts and karate and fitness you need some real training in that! Even kickboxing instructor i think i would prefer some experience in at least kickboxing. the ad gave me a chuckle though. I never said it wasn't dangerous.
