Good advice, shotokanbeginner. Some people will never get flexible. But like b3n said, you will kick people in the head. Even if you can't, so what. Go for what works.

too true that is exactly what my sensei says, he also says head kicks are generally less affective anyways

your sensei sounds smart :wink: high kicks are fine in competition, however in a real life situation , they wouldn't be your best choice.

Don't Quit! I have a arthritis in my hip but I still train. It is the trip not the destination that is important.
