A-man
I have a serious problem at hand. About 7 years ago I took up the noble art of Tang Soo Do. I practiced for 2 years under Master Craig and Polly, but my dojo ended up closing down for reasons unknown. For 5 year I haven't even a single Bear Claw Strike or High block and I am now attempting to rejoin a local dojo. My concern is that I am an overwieght 16 year old with no skill and only passion. Should I join or not. The A-man To be forgotten is worst than death, because the remembered are eternal.

Jiffy
I would take on a student with passion before a student with fitness and abiltiy ANY DAY!Fitness, Natural Ability, Good Body Type, Strength and Speed put together are still not as important to me as heart.Definately start training again! The mind is like a parachute, it only works when it's open.
A-man
I guess you guys are right. It isn't about phyisical fitness. I signed up and took a skills test, I need better than anyone expected. Some of the other members even invited me to an out of class sparring program. I guess it is like riding a bike somethings you just don't forget. The A-man To be forgotten is worst than death, because the remembered are eternal. The A-manYou will be amazed at how fast your skills will return. You are going to have to work for them, but that is where the passion comes in. Good luck. I had to lose my mind to come to my senses.
